Q. I already have a domain name can I use that one?
A. Yes you can purchase any of our packages and we will point your domain to your new site and provide a second one as part of your package.
Q. Do i have to pay you to maintain my site?
A. No, we will build your web site, register your domain name and business web mail and set up your matching marketing materials eg, electronic/email business card, business cards, hats, t-shirts etc. Once complete we hand the site over to you with all login and password details. Using the easy to use online site builder you can maintain it yourself and easily order marketing materials and merchandise as needed.
Q. I would like banners, t-shirts, caps magnets and letter heads etc, do you provide this?
A. We will set up matching items in your portfolio as per your order description. When we handover your completed site you can order as much as you wish from your administration area. The online printing company we use provides weekly free and discounted specials. They are one of the cheapest in Australia and provide excellent customer service. You will be delighted with the merchandise you can create and purchase easily. We are happy to set up designs for your other promotional items simply purchase a 1 hour maintenance block.
Q.Can I get help if I need it?
A. Yes, we are happy to maintain your site and offer assistance when you purchase an 1 hour maintenance block. Your website host will also provide you with technical support to manage your site.However the sitebuilder is very user friendly and for beginners.
Q. Can I re-order merchandise myself or do I need to do it through you?
A. You can order all your marketing materials & merchandise easily and quickly through your websites administration area, not through us.
Q. I would like a logo for my business, can you design one to my specifications?
A. We use design templates to create your matching website , logo and merchandise, we do not design unique/custom logos.
Q. I have my own logo, can I use it for my website and merchandise?
A. Yes you can provide us with the image in jpeg or gif format. Please note when using your own logo it limits the amount of design templates we can offer, reducing the amount of choices you have for your website design. Also it can compromise the print quality on some merchandise when enlarged. For better quality we recommend using one of our templates or using a high resolution image.
Q. Are you a web hosting company?
A. No, Small Biz Identity Solutions is owned and operated by Melissa Booth who is a Business consultant and web developer. We provide small business with BUDGET PRICED start up packages to get their business online and stream lined with one theme. We register and set up your website with all content, domain name, email accounts and matching marketing materials /merchandise on your behalf.
Q. Do you host my website?
A. No, hosting of your site is paid directly to the website hosts, for $16 - $25 per month, depending on the package you purchased and $7.99 for an online newsletter subscription. At the time of handover you will be asked to provide your credit card details to set up the monthly billing with your host company. Domain names are purchased by us as part of your package price, we then direct the domain name to your completed website.
Q. How long will my website take to build and merchandise delivered?
A. We usually allow 1-2 weeks to complete your package, however we confirm times prior to starting your site. We provide you with designs and layouts that need approval, we also require data/content/images to enter into your site pages. The sooner you provide us with all the information we need the quicker we can do it. Business Cards are ordered at the completion and approval of your website to ensure it is all matching the final product. Delivery can take up to three weeks.
Q. Can I sell items or services on my website?
A. Yes we can integrate paypal shopping cart on your site. However if you have large volumes of items/stock , multiple items and categories of merchandise like a retail shop eg, sizes, colours, you will need an Online Shop. Click Here for further Details
Q. What is paypal?
A. Paypal.com is a third party merchant facility. For a fee they will process credit cards and payments (orders/subscriptions)on your behalf. They also can be used to send invoices to your clients and your clients pay online. To create a paypal account go to www.paypal.com. (its free)
Q. What is an abn and do I need one?
A. To register an .com.au domain name you must be a registered Australian Business and have an Australian Business Number (abn)
Q. What if I am not happy with my design?
A. We will provide you with numerous choices of designs, based on the information you provide us with. They will be in your administration panel /portfolio for easy viewing online. We will not start your website until you have decided on a design you are happy with. If you have a particular idea, colour scheme, layout etc in mind the more information you give us the better.
Q. Can I fax/email a photo or picture/design I have in mind?
A. Yes, however as we are using pre-made design templates we can not create an exact match. If you require specific or advanced customised / unique designs we will not be able to assist you. In order to maintain your own website, we provide a basic business brochure website created with online builders (provided by host company) that even a novice can maintain with ease. So even if you have no web building knowledge at all you will be able to make updates and changes easily.
Q. What if I am unhappy with the final product?
A. We are committed to providing a budget yet professional service. We will do whatever we can to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your final product.
Q. Can I meet with you and discuss my specific business needs?
A. We provide an online service offering Basic Budget packages for sole traders, small business, groups and individuals. If you have specific or advanced website requirements we would not be able to assist you. In order to keep our prices low we offer ready made packages. Q. How long is my free maintenance block valid for?
A. You can use your one hour free maintenance in two 1/2 hour installments. It is valid for 12 months from the date of your purchase.
Q. When does my free month of web hosting commence?
A. It commences from the time we create your account, this allows us to create your package/build your site without any hosting expense to you.
